Big Weekend
It was a big weekend for the Nix boys: Riley graduated from white belt to yellow belt as a Little Ninja at L.A. Budo and Holden had his first Little League game of the season as a AAA Diamondback.
Riley began jiu jitsu in November, and really enjoys it. We love the focus on self control, self discipline and reading. He likes running around, earning accolades for his accomplishments and, of course, jabbing and kicking.
Then Holden had his chance to shine. The Diamondbacks slaughtered the Nationals 22-7 and Holden got on base all four times at bat ... despite never getting a hit (one walk and three races to 1st when the catcher fumbled on the third strike) and made it home each time. He is a good sportsman - enjoys the game, never gloats and knows his team could easily be the underdog at the next game.
