They Think We're Normal. What's That Say About Them?

It was an honor to accompany The Messingers on Hallie and Brendan's first visit to Travel Town in Griffith Park!






A couple days later, the good times continued at our favorite haunt, Polliwog Park. Riley showed off his ever-improving sliding skills.

Hallie and Holden had a great time, and worked off some wiggles, running and jumping.

Killing An Afternoon With Some Firsts

We found ourselves in a situation Saturday that is not unfamiliar: Time and energy to burn. We turned to our usual time and energy burner, The Park! But this time was different. There were some milestones to be reached.

Riley had his first go at the swings and LOVED it. The breeze blew softly through his fine hair with every little whoosh, and he laughed. He hung out for quite a while, often just watching the other kids, including Big Brother Holden, who was swinging really high next to him.

You can't tell from this photo, but Riley's just as excited as Mom.

This shows two of Holden's newest accomplishments. Taking the ladder instead of the easy stairs, by choice, was HUGE for Holden, and he felt victorious. That he's wearing sandals - the very same sandals that created a mega crying fit just several nights before when we asked him to try them on - is major.

Riley's been on many trips to The Park, but this was the first time he really got to participate. He's finding his place in our world, and is quite happy to be there.
