For a kid who was pretty close to bald when he came out, Riley's hair grew in quick. His locks are luscious, are a reddish brown and have a slight wave to them. But, his shag was starting to look a bit shaggy, so the time had come for a trim.
Last weekend, both kids got hair cuts at the Jungle Salon in Redondo Beach. Riley was a champ, barely winced and sucked his bottle nearly the entire time as he was quickly clippered and cut.
Riley sat nearly the entire time by himself, and was only held during the sensitive edging around his ears. Holden, whose had dozens of haircuts, both by professionals and at home, was his usual teary self and insisted on sitting on Dad's lap.
It's hard to tell from this photo, and our normal camera is getting some R&R at the camera doctor, but a few snips really made Riley look different. She put gel in his hair and gave him a mohawk at the end. But since then, with his hair normal, you could see the boy starting to emerge from the baby.
