There is nothing better than looking back a year, to a time when you wondered if there was any way your kid was going to make it through kindergarten, knowing now that he has - and he did with flying colors. Riley has grown and learned so much in kindergarten, and we couldn't be more proud of his focus, dedication and enthusiasm.
Today was the last day of school. Like all of Riley's milestones, I get a little extra weepy with nostalgia when they pass. It's a mixture of the realizations that we'll never have a kindergartner again, how quickly time goes and how amazing our children are.
I accompanied his class on a last-day-of-school picnic at the park. Then, we returned for graduation.
