Eagle Creek Trail (Oregon Part III)

On our first full day in Oregon, we tackled what can only be described as a quintessential Oregon trail. Lush foilage, tall trees in the deepest green and flowing, clear waterfalls accompanied us on a 4 1/2-mile trek, which was only the beginning of the Eagle Creek Trail. We took it slow, relishing the opportunity to hike without complaining kids, taking lots and lots of pictures along the way.

This part, I guess, was "treacherous" because there was a cable handrail. It really wasn't that bad ... but I hung on anyway.

We stopped at Punchbowl Falls for lots of pictures and a snack before heading back out. This is only a sample of some of the amazing shots we got there. These are both Kevin's:

This leaf got my eye, as I'm sure you can see why, on the way back. Kevin said no one would believe that I found it, and didn't place it. Luck:
