First up, of course, was Jack o'Lantern carving. Holden and Riley were OK about pulling the goo out with their hands, and even kept the mess to a contained area:

Halloween festivities began early in the day with a parade and party at school. Holden is Batman:


Riley is Thomas the Train. Both marched well in the parade, smiling and waving. As you can tell by Tigger, not all the kids had such a great time. I think they were overwhelmed by the couple hundred adults on hand to cheer them on:


After the parade, the kids returned to their classrooms for a potluck party. You can spot Holden/Batman looking at the camera among his friends in the Red Room:


Riley got down to the serious business of eating in the Purple Room. Here he is with teacher Ms. Maritza:
